It’s Monday — time to put on those positive pants! Get inspired with today’s Motivation Monday quote. Today I’m encouraging you to feel brave and strong. Nothing is undoable. Remember that!

Hi, friends! Happy Monday.
A brand new week has begun, and it’s full of fresh opportunities. How about we seize those possibilities and do something good for ourselves this week—something that will make us feel healthier, stronger, and proud down the road? Before we rush into the week, tell me: how was your weekend? Are you in vacation mode or still working (I’m still working)? What did you do?
My week was very productive—both for the blog and in real life. I got a lot done and I’m pleasantly surprised by the results. I’ve been pushing myself and I like what I see.
I completed all my runs last week, which makes me feel fantastic and energized. I do need to work on the lower-back stiffness that comes from too much time at my desk, so I’ll add more lower-back yoga. If you have other workout suggestions, I’d love to hear them. On the blog I published a Motivation Monday post, shared my Summer Morning Routine (you seemed to like it), and posted a delicious Blueberry Banana Chia Smoothie recipe—go check it out if you haven’t yet. I also cooked healthy meals for my family each day (planning is the secret) and we enjoyed some quality time together, though I wish we could have had even more.
The only downer last week was the decision my husband and I made to skip our family vacation this summer. I’m a little sad about missing beach snacks and relaxing by the sea, but the reasons are sensible. In less than a month we’re moving to a new apartment in Zagreb—the capital of Croatia—which is a big change for all of us.
For me, moving means returning to my hometown after ten years in a small town. I’d grown comfortable with small-town life, so when moving came up earlier this year I felt a real fear of change.
That fear held me back. I found myself doubting even the many positives awaiting us in the city—better schooling for my son, more family activities, better business prospects for my husband, improved social life, and being closer to my parents, brother, and old friends. There are also opportunities for my business. Of course a big city has drawbacks: more people, hectic pace, a different neighborhood and routines, and many unknowns. I realized my mind dislikes change and was resisting it.
So I made a list of pros and cons, read it carefully, and decided to stop letting fear and overthinking rule me. I chose to think more positively about the move and to take things one step at a time.
From this process I learned several things:
- You’ll never have all the information you want to make a “perfect” decision. After research and weighing pros and cons, you still must decide. Life involves guesses, mistakes, and adjustments. We make the best choice we can at the time and keep moving forward.
- I trust myself (and my husband). We’ve faced hard times before and found ways through them. Whatever happens, we figure things out together.
- If things don’t turn out as planned, it’s not a disaster. It’s okay to change course. Failure isn’t a destination—and neither is success.
- Avoid feeling trapped. Stay open to new opportunities that arise along the way and make sure you keep multiple options available.
- Effort matters. Trying new things and pursuing goals takes work. If we put in the effort to improve our lives, we can gain more than we expect.
Overcoming fear of change isn’t easy, but keeping a positive mindset and taking action—one small step at a time—makes a difference. We’ll see what happens as we move forward.
Stop worrying about what could go wrong and focus on what could go right. That’s my mantra. If you’re facing a scary change, make it yours too.
Hugs and kisses. See you next Monday!
