Let me tell you about these Pretty Oreo Bon Bons. They are simple, delicious, and perfect for making ahead. 🙂
The filling requires only two ingredients.
There’s no tempering, stovetop cooking, simmering, chopping, or any complicated steps. No cursing required—just straightforward, easy prep.
The filling is made by crushing Oreo cookies and combining them with cream cheese. Simple, classic, and brilliant. The mixture chills in the freezer, you roll it into balls, freeze again, and then dip in candy melts. That’s all there is to it.
They’re easy to make and can be prepared up to a week ahead and stored in the freezer until needed—another great reason to love them.
Make them. Love them. Dip them in any color you like—purple, pink, blue, yellow, green… perfect for seasonal events or just because. Enjoy—these bon bons are fun and delicious.

NOTE: These Oreo bon bons freeze very well and can be made up to a week in advance.
Ingredients:
– 1 (15.5 ounce) package Oreo cookies (about 45 cookies)
– 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
– 2 (14 ounce) packages candy wafers or candy melts
– Candy sprinkles (optional)
Instructions:
1. Place all Oreos in the bowl of a stand mixer and crush on low speed until finely ground.
2. Add the cream cheese to the crushed Oreos and continue mixing until the two are thoroughly combined and form a cohesive filling.
3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and freeze the mixture for at least 2 hours so it firms up and is easy to scoop.
4. Once chilled, scoop the filling into balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment or wax paper.
5. Lightly spray your hands with cooking spray and roll each ball to make the surface smooth. Cover the tray with plastic wrap and freeze the balls for another 1–2 hours so they are completely firm.
TIP: Candy wafers and Wilton “Candy Melts” work best for coating. Avoid dyeing regular white chocolate—it doesn’t always set or color well.
6. Place the candy melts into microwave-safe bowls or glass measuring cups—one color per container if you want multiple shades.
7. Melt the wafers in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until smooth and fully melted.
8. To create varied shades, reserve a little melted color and mix in some white candy coating to lighten it until you reach the desired hue.
9. Dip each frozen Oreo ball into the melted coating using two forks to lift it out. Allow excess coating to drip back into the bowl, then place the bon bon onto the prepared sheet.
10. If using sprinkles, add them immediately after dipping while the coating is still wet so they adhere. If desired, drizzle contrasting melted coating over the tops for decoration.
11. Let the coating set, which should take about 15 minutes at room temperature. For faster setting, return the tray to the freezer briefly.
12. Once set, arrange the bon bons in a covered container or glass baking dish and store in the freezer until ready to serve.
Enjoy!
